Prevelly and Gnarabup are located at the mouth of the Margaret River where the Margaret River Surfing Championships are held each year.
This is a beautiful part of the West Australian coast and is an ideal place not only for surfing but also for holidays. This small township is only a five minute drive from the very popular tourist town of Margaret River. Being very close to many of the attractions of the south-west gives visitors a great variety of things to do. Margaret river is about 10 km away and there is a walking path between the two towns.
As you enter Prevelly there is a beautiful little white Greek chapel overlooking the ocean. Geoff Edwards opened this chapel in 1979. Built as a way to say thank you to the people of Crete who helped him and other Allied servicemen during the Second World War.

The famous Cape to Cape walking track that extends from Cape Naturaliste to Cape leeuwin passes close by. This is one of the best walking trails in Australia. You can walk from Prevelly along the Cape to Cape trail to Redgate Beach, another great surfing spot
Being on the West Coast makes this is an ideal place to watch the magnificent sunsets over the ocean. An ideal place to watch the sunsets, or just to have breakfast or lunch is at the White Elephant Beach Cafe.
Gnarabup Beach is an ideal place to get out your paddle ski, surfboard or to go ocean kayaking. It is also an ideal place to learn how to paddle board or to go snorkelling. This is also an ideal place to just take a relaxing walk along the beach.
You can hire a canoe and take a very peaceful and relaxing paddle up to Margaret River.
